WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

OF SYSTEMS ARCHITECTURE AND MODELING

Our goal is to offer the best systems engineers the opportunity to achieve industry and domain-wide recognition for their knowledge and proficiency in employing MBSE to devise innovative system solutions.

Judging Criteria

Any mbse tool and methodology can be used!

The competition not only assesses your raw modeling skills but also serves as a reflection of the practical constraints and expectations a modeler or modeling team will encounter in industry. The competition evaluates your capacity to create a model and accompanying artifacts that enhance and expedite a more extensive product team’s ability to design, synthesize, integrate, test, and field a system that they and their customers will love.
You may bring other engineering tools to integrate with your MBSE tool to create a local Digital Engineering Environment. Examples may include mathematical modeling and analysis tools, requirement management tools, Microsoft Office products, test planning software, etc. Adding this is at the discretion of the team.
Participants may not bring previous models or model library content. The solution must be entirely produced during the event.

The Competition Experience

Discover what past competition participants have to say about their experiences through the challenge.
Mike Vinarcik
"I believe the choice of subject matter was interesting, ensuring that no participant had deep domain knowledge in the area.  It was really important because it highlights the skill of the individual in bringing good sound architecture and systems engineering practices to the challenge."
Team SAIC
“I just felt like time vanished right before my eyes... I said, wow, I can't believe this is getting toward the end already.  It just went by so fast."
Team Belcan
“We knew to expect something out of left field, something that we would have no core knowledge in... even though we were prepared, it was still definitely a surprise."
Gavin Barnes, SAIC
“It was a really fascinating puzzle... I really enjoyed just testing my mettle and throwing myself at it to see how it went."
