An Entertainment Experience System
Juniper Cove is an amusement park in Juniper Cape, Ohayo, celebrating its 100th birthday this year.
One of their original wooden roller coasters, Old Glory, is scheduled to be decommissioned due to safety and vibration issues that have affected the ride’s operational safety & guest satisfaction.
Your job: Specify & design a replacement attraction.
Backgorund and Context
The 2024 Challenge
Design, construct, and install a new attraction that enhances the guest experience at Juniper Cove and meets or exceeds industry safety standards. We are open to a variety of attractions, including but not limited to roller coasters, dark rides, flat rides, pendulum rides, or other innovative options, including virtual experiences, that align with current industry trends and our park's thematic branding.
Design and Engineering: Develop a comprehensive design plan for a new attraction that aligns with our park’s themes and entertainment goals as well as our customer’s expectations.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all aspects of the new attraction comply with national and local safety regulations in Ohayo. This includes passing all necessary inspections and obtaining certifications.
Construction and Installation: Manage the construction and installation of the new ride. The project should be completed with minimal disruption to park operations and adhere to the agreed timeline.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform thorough testing of the new attraction to guarantee safe and smooth operation. Provide a detailed report on testing results and address any necessary adjustments.
Operations & Maintenance Assessments: Assess the operational aspects of the attraction, including estimated ride cycle time and queuing time. Assess the necessary operational staffing required. Assess the one-time vs. recurring costs associated with the ride. Assess the maintenance cycle for the attraction, including estimated up-time, necessary spare parts inventory, and maintenance staffing needs.
